Our new book: "Under the Maltese Cross"

Why are the Knights of Saint John called  "Knights of Malta", "Knights of Jerusalem"? What traditions does their ancient order observe? What are their objectives, what charisms inspire them today? What are their structures, in what areas do they operate today, worldwide and in Hungary? How does their presence among the poor and marginalised strengthen human and national culture?

Such questions are the subject of short, readable answers in the new book Under the Maltese Cross, enriched with interesting nuggets of information and many personal testimonies that introduce the reader to the Order of Malta. "The examples and the illustrations give a wonderful insight into the double charism of the Order: "Defence of the Faith and service to the poor" - writes the Prince and Grand Master of the Order in his introduction.

The Hungarian Association of the Order of Malta has produced this 128-page book to commemorate the rebirth of its house in Buda castle. (A selection of its pages can be viewed by clicking here.)
