We are collecting prayers for the victims of the Syrian conflict!
We Are Collecting Prayers! – this is the title of the widely advertised Advent prayer campaign for victims of the Syrian conflict, called by the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order. Prayers as well as messages of solidarity are requested from the Hungarian public; the latter will be forwarded to the Charity Service’s partner in Aleppo, who will share them with the community.
To further advertise the campaign, and the Order’s activities, a photo exhibition opened in the upper hall of St. Stephen’s Basilica in Budapest, to stay open until February 2019. Over the last two years, our photographers captured both the terrible reality of wartime Aleppo and the images of hope, including the “hospitainer” and mobile clinic set up by the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta and its local partner, with Hungarian Government funding.
